Staring straight ahead, she smiled at the nothingness.
She didn't even know why she was smiling. It wasn't even like she felt like it. It just seemed like the only thing she could do.
After all, she seemed doomed to failure.
It was all spinning out of control again, and she desperately fought to remain in control of the crashing waves.
She couldn't fail. But it seemed she always did.
What she was most afraid of, however, was that if she fell this time, it would be for all the wrong reasons.
Suddenly she felt like she was holding far too much responsibility in her hands, for her decisions would affect more than her.
And she was afraid.
